national importance<\/p>\n<p>Probably every place that has a school also has such relics from bygone times:<\/p>\n<p>Statues, memorial stones, houses, cemeteries, bridgeheads, baptismal fonts, and so 30px;\n}\n<\/style>\n\t<\/section>\n\t\n<h2>The problem<\/h2>\n<p>The steady decay, wind and rain and, unfortunately, also vandalism, put these centuries-old cultural treasures under severe strain.<\/p>\n<p>Inscriptions fade, details wash out, tombstones are knocked over and damaged.<\/p>\n<p>The responsible municipalities do not have the means to preserve all the objects and so these objects fade and disappear irretrievably.<\/p>\n<p>Time is of the essence - the status quo must be maintained.<\/p>\n<h2>The solution<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Digital preservation in the form of digital twins.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>With the means of photogrammetry, high-precision three-dimensional digital twins of historical relics of all sizes can be created cost-effectively.<\/p>\n<p>Photogrammetry is an art and technology that touches and connects the subjects of photography, 3d and game design, virtual reality and computer science.<\/p>\n<p>In a photogrammetry project, photos are taken of an object 100e from different perspectives, from which detailed, photo-realistic 3D models of the object are then created with the aid of the computer.<\/p>\n<p>These 3D models can be experienced interactively on the web, in apps and in virtual reality.<\/p>\n<p>Today, photogrammetry is used intensively in the areas of architecture, archeology, virtual reality, gaming and art.<\/p>\n\t<div
