With rough tools, the Munich artist Karl Orth creates sculptures out of iron with a very unique aesthetic and a charisma somewhere between emotion and morbidity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, the real charisma of the works is only revealed to the viewer where it is possible to experience the works in their plasticity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Even the best photo fails to depict a sculpture adequately. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The spatial dimension that characterizes a sculpture cannot be depicted with a photo.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The third dimension in digital space<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In order to preserve the three-dimensionality of these works in the digital space, we have made high-resolution 3D scans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hundreds of photos of various works were taken in the artist's studio near the forge, hammer and tongs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The result is a small collection of these works, which can now be experienced interactively in all three dimensions on Sketchfab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
