UNESCO World Heritage Site

Even before German cemetery culture was counted as a world cultural heritage in 2020, we pushed ahead with digital and three-dimensional conservation and archiving of tombs and cemeteries.

Detailed digitization in all dimensions is so important, especially with these cultural artefacts: The tombs are often centuries old, but are not maintained due to a lack of budget, but are constantly exposed to wind and weather.

With the creation of digital and three-dimensional twins of the tomb, we are preserving the status quo.

This status quo is so detailed that it can be used as a template for restoration work at any time. Of course, the tombstones digitized in this way can also be shown directly on the web or in apps.
